TFBS Bioscience, Inc. (Headquarters: New Taipei City, Taiwan; hereinafter “TFBS”) and QIMR Berghofer Medical Research Institute (Headquarters: Herston, Queensland, Australia; hereinafter “QIMR Berghofer”) jointly announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on April 29, 2026, establishing a strategic partnership in the field of cell and gene therapy (CGT). The collaboration aims to combine the expertise and resources of both organizations to advance the development of innovative therapies and expand international market opportunities.
QIMR Berghofer is a leading translational medical research institute based in Brisbane, Australia. Its state-of-the-art facilities include Q-Gen Cell Therapeutics, which has been at the forefront of manufacturing cell therapies for more than 25 years. QIMR Berghofer is dedicated to advancing innovative therapies from basic research and preclinical development through to early-stage clinical application.
TFBS Bioscience specializes in viral vector manufacturing and provides integrated services for cell and gene therapies, vaccines, and biologics, spanning research and development, process development, GMP manufacturing, as well as biosafety, preclinical, and clinical-related testing services.
In addition, both parties will enhance global market visibility and strengthen their presence in the Asia-Pacific region through joint participation in international industry events and resource integration. This cross-border collaboration is expected to bridge industry and research capabilities, accelerating the translation and clinical application of cell and gene therapy technologies.
